So I’ve really appreciated other blogs who have a concise timeline of their journey as a quick reference. So I’ve decided to copy the idea from those blogs and have a separate TTC timeline of my own here.
March 2015 – Beau and I get back from a wonderful European vacation and “stop preventing” pregnancy, though we haven’t officially started “trying”
July 2015 – Beau and I officially start TTC
October 2015 – I begin using ovulation predictors to make sure we’re timing it right
December 2015 – Five months and fully frustrated. A friend suggests I try progesterone cream to help lengthen my luteal phase – which may be a tad short
January 2016 – Go to Midwife clinic to get things checked out. Blood work for me, Semen analysis for Beau – All results normal
February 2016 – Meet with new OB and get referral to fertility specialist.
March 2016 – Have hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to check tubes. Have intravaginal ultrasound to check ovarian reserve and for endometriomas
Follow-up with fertility specialist revealed all is normal except an endometrioma on my right ovary. Specialist does not think this is causing my issues and suggests Clomid. Also states that if endometriosis is blocking implantation then IVF would be able to bypass it – does not recommend laparoscopic surgery to remove endometriosis
April 2016– begin Clomid
May 2016– Go back to an old OB for second opinion on laparoscopy. He says he would definitely do laparoscopy before IVF. I want to try Clomid one more cycle before having surgery
June 2016 – Clomid fails again. Decide to have the surgery. Schedule for July 14th. Not allowed to TTC leading up to surgery.
July 14, 2016 – Laparoscopic surgery with old OB. Told no sex for two weeks.
July 26, 2016 – AF pays a visit two weeks after surgery.
August 21, 2016 – POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST! 5 1/2 weeks after surgery. 4 days after my 32nd birthday. Happy late birthday to me!
